Labcorp workers have been at the bargaining table for a year, fighting for a fair first contract that protects their patients and their profession. Labcorp has dragged its feet, refusing to make reasonable proposals while lab workers continue to push for fair wages, safe staffing, and respect on the job.

But this September, the tables are turning. Labcorp workers are holding multiple bargaining sessions throughout the month, and each one is being packed with their coworkers and supporters from across OFNHP to show management the power of unity. On Tuesday, September 17th at 11:30am, we’re

Members holding signs at a rally

As we move closer to a potential strike, it’s important that every member has the information they need. That’s why we’re hosting a series of Strike FAQ Tele-Town Halls—multiple opportunities to hear directly from union leaders, get your questions answered, and make sure you know exactly what to expect if we go on strike.

These sessions will cover everything from strike logistics to your rights on the picket line and how to support your coworkers throughout the campaign. Each session will include a presentation and time for live Q&A.

Alliance Members Demanding Kaiser Live Up to Their Agreements

This week marked a critical moment in our fight for a fair national contract with Kaiser Permanente. As members of the Alliance of Healthcare Unions—which represents over 60,000 healthcare professionals across the country, including our own OFNHP members—we have been at the table demanding what we all know is necessary: safe staffing, fair wages, and a real voice on the job.

At Thursday night's rally, we showed just how powerful we are. Hundreds of OFNHP members and allies packed Terry Schrunk Plaza in downtown Portland for a historic demonstration in support of healthcare workers and the

Today, your local Common Interest Table has had its second session with Kaiser:

As a reminder, OFNHP members have been demanding Kaiser meet with the six bargaining units together to work on issues of importance to all of our tables. Following thousands of emails and a petition with over 2,000 member signatures, we got what we wanted: an opportunity to be heard together – one voice, one union!

Our first session on July 21st ended with a Tentative Agreement (TA) on Successorship, which was egregiously and unfairly retracted by KP only days later. Don't forget to add your name to the

Workers marching on boss to deliver opposition to cuts.

We just wrapped up our fourth day of impact bargaining over PeaceHealth’s mass layoffs — and thanks to YOUR incredible action, we made some major breakthroughs! Because of the pressure you built through protests, media attention, and relentless solidarity, we secured critical protections for our coworkers facing layoffs:

Severance wins: Employees who take severance and land a new job outside of PeaceHealth won’t lose their severance pay.

Seniority rights protected: Anyone who takes severance can apply to an OFNHP position at PeaceHealth Southwest and your seniority rights will be counted for

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and PeaceHealth Sacred Heart have announced layoffs impacting approximately 1% of its workforce — a decision that healthcare workers warn could have devastating consequences for the future of patient care and the health of the entire region.

Among those laid off are critical members of the Oregon  Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals (OFNHP), AFT Local 5017, including the dismissal of all mobility aids, who help patients regain bodily autonomy and mobility to live independently, and social workers, whose services are essential for ensuring patients
