On Tuesday we kicked off 2025 Kaiser bargaining. Labor and management came together for a joint training on Interest-Based Bargaining (IBB) that included all six of our bargaining teams, our national bargaining team, and representatives from the Alliance and the Permanente Medical Group. At this meeting we set the stage and expectation that we remain focused on driving towards a problem-solving and meaningful results-driven bargaining season. Our bargaining teams are prepared and ready to get to the table where they will stand united in demanding:
- Safe staffing and patient access - because healthcare delays cost lives.
- Fair wages and benefits - to recruit and retain the best professionals.
- Workplace protections - because healthcare workers deserve safety and respect.
- Career development opportunities - to ensure healthcare’s future.
- A real partnership - where frontline workers have a voice in decisions impacting care.
Contracts are not won at the bargaining table alone, but also won through our unity, our collective action, and our willingness to stand together in the workplace. The power of our union comes from each and every one of us, showing up, speaking out, and demonstrating that we are united in our fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and respect on the job.
Our first local bargaining sessions have already sarted and you can show your union pride, support and solidarity by wearing red every Tuesday until we win!

You will receive a bargaining update for your bargaining unit in your email and from your Contract Action Team (CAT) as bargaining dates happen. You will also receive an all-Kaiser update on Mondays throughout local and national bargaining.
