This last week has been amazing as we have connected with you in your worksites and in our Zoom meetings, and hearing from so many of you about what this contract means to you.
We are thrilled to announce that all 8 bargaining units ratified our first Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with an overwhelming majority of YES votes. The total percentage of votes across all units combined was 86% yes!
What comes next?
- $800 ratification bonus
- Immediate job security/protections
- A legally binding grievance process takes effect
- Immediate regulations on contingent employees
- Enforceable quality of care and safety language
If you or any of your coworkers are excited to enforce this contract and your rights under it, consider becoming a steward. We will send out more information on how to become a steward as well as informational sessions to learn about how our contract works and what it protects now that it has been ratified. This is only one step of many because we will continue this fight in the workplace as we defend what we’ve won and push for ever more reforms.
Congratulations to everyone, the last two years have culminated in an historic victory that Labcorp claimed could never be achieved. As a collective, you stood united and proved them wrong.
