OFNHP is excited to offer an opportunity funded through our national unions to support important local campaigns through Election Day. This work will include helping to educate and engage other union members, community members, and critical voters to ensure OFNHP has legislators who will fight for our AFT priorities in Salem!
Alongside our AFT siblings from AFT Oregon, Oregon Nurses Association, OSEA, and Northwest Medicine United, we are seeking individuals who will:
- Be available to commit a consistent amount of time each week from September 1st through November 3rd (Minimum 10 hours, maximum 40 hours per week), including weekends/evenings if available
- Be compensated $25/hour for their work (applicable taxes apply)
- This is not considered union-release or release from your current employment work duties/FTE. All work must be completed outside of your normal working hours.
- Be willing to complete active campaign work; including but not limited to:
- Door-to-door canvassing
- Phone/text banking
- Worksite education
- Be able to travel throughout the state of Oregon if needed (may not be required)
- *Washington residents also eligible if all criteria is met
