Ever been interested in helping with OFNHP’s social media? Join us on October 7th at 6 p.m. for a Communications Training and Orientation to learn more about what we do, how we do it, and how you can get involved with our Communications Committee!
The Communications Committee is a way for members to get involved in creating content for OFNHP’s social media. That can include taking photos and videos of members at union events and actions, helping create short videos, developing memes and other social media content, and working together on creative projects that help highlight what OFNHP members are doing across our union.
We’ll talk about some of the basics of creating effective social media content and how members can contribute. You don’t need to be a communications professional or have previous experience. We’re looking for members who are interested in getting creative, learning some new skills, and helping us show what our union is doing.
The committee also occasionally has opportunities to collaborate on larger projects and learn from other organizers and communicators. In the past, that has included participating in the Netroots Nation conference and working together on special communications projects.
