Under federal law, workers have the right to:
- Act: Sign petitions, attend meetings, delegations and rallies. Raise grievances or concerns with management.
- Talk: Discuss working conditions and the union with your co-workers anywhere you are permitted to talk about things like hobbies. Distribute information during breaks, meals and before or after work, in any non-patient care area.
- Be Visible: Be quoted and have your picture on union literature, web page and face book page. Wear union buttons, stickers, badge holders, etc.

- Prohibit employees from sharing information with each other about staffing, benefits, pay or other conditions.
- Retaliate, punish or discriminate against you for union activity.
- Make promises, threats or bribes.
- Question you about your union activity.
- Ask you to remove a button or sticker.
