BARGAINING UNIT: KP PROFESSIONALS

Alicia “Shep” Sheprow has worked as a PA in Urgent Care at multiple locations for almost 3 decades. During her Kaiser career, she has served in various union roles, and enjoys being able to assist union members, educate everyone, and spread the importance of union activism and involvement. She admits to weirdly enjoying contract bargaining, constitutional and contract interpretation and teaching the skills to fellow members so they can be the best advocate for all OFNHP members. When not at the union office, she can be found seeking Big Foot on any forest trail, herding her peacocks and cats, or snorkeling with manta rays.

BARGAINING UNITS: KP REGISTERED NURSES (OFNHP & ONA)
FOCUS: OUTPATIENT RNS

Mitchell has been working at Kaiser since 2017, and has been working as a union employee for the last 18 years of his working life. For most of that time he has been a steward, including for almost two years at Kaiser. “The reason I get involved is just to ensure that the employees are treated fairly and get the best possible benefits,” says Karr. Karr graduated from Northern Arizona University and serves as an RN at the Beaverton Urgent Care clinic.

BARGAINING UNIT: KP REGISTERED NURSES
FOCUS: INPATIENT RNS

I became a steward shortly before COVID struck. I wanted to be able to help my coworkers more in general. I have worked on traveler blocks in critical care for the last few years. I was also a member of the bargaining team in 2021. I think most people aren't aware of what is in the contract and what to do in most situations. I would like to be able to continue to identify problems and figure out how to solve them.

BARGAINING UNIT: KP TECHNICAL EMPLOYEES

Keri Farraro has been a surgical tech for over 15 years now and her worksite is at Westside Medical Center as a Lead Surgical Tech in the Operating Room. She learned through years of unhealthy workplaces that employment in a unionized environment is the way to go. There are better protections for the employees and the patients are safer. She has been a steward for a few years and was on the tech bargaining team recently. When not working she enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
