Who makes up OFNHP?


Nearly 6,000 healthcare professionals working for Kaiser Permanente in Oregon and SW Washington are protected by six standard-setting union contracts:



  • Laboratory Professionals (including Medical Technologists, Cytogenetic Technologists and Microbiology Technologists)

  • Professionals (including Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Physical Therapists, Medical Social Workers, and staff working in dozens of other classifications)
  • Registered Dental Hygienists
  • Technical employees (including Advanced Dispensing Opticians, Surgical Techs, Respiratory Therapists, Sleep Lab Assistants, and many others)

Nearly 1500 healthcare workers in the PeaceHealth system:

  • Over 300 technical professionals at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center (including Surgical Techs, Respiratory Therapists, Radiology Techs,  Pharmacy Techs, and many others)
  • Over 800 Service and Maintenance professionals at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center 
  • Over 350 technical professionals at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart in Eugene (LPNs, Therapists, Technologists, and Technicians)
  • And nearly 20 Laboratory Professionals at PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center

Around 150 medical techs and technologists at St. Charles Medical Center in 2021 joined our union in 2021, and 70 techs at at Mid-Columbia Medical Center joined in 2022. We are a growing union that is dedicated to organize on the shop floor in support of frontline healthcare workers.
