OFNHP raised hundreds of dollars and a pile of toys for children of out of work union families in our community. This is what solidarity looks like!
LCSA's Presents from Partners was created to help local struggling families provide their children with happy holidays. Families come for a hot lunch, a visit with Santa, stocking stuffers with handmade stockings, face painting and a wonderful children’s selection of toys to take home. The children get to pick out a small gift to give to their parents so that they also may enjoy the pleasure of giving.
This annual event has become a tour de force of local Unions - truckloads of toys donated by Labor, hundreds of stockings sewn by AFT Retirees, cab rides donated by Union Cab and even Santa Claus himself is an IBEW Local 48 member!
