Members Vote to Ratify National Agreement

VOTE RESULTS ARE IN!

After over a month of forums, info sessions and work site voting across Kaiser Northwest system, members of OFNHP and ONA have voted to ratify the new National Agreement. 97% of OFNHP Members voted to approve the tentative agreement and 100% of ONA members approved the agreement.  We would not have been successful in defending what we have and making improvements if it had not been for the action and participation of members!

While the new agreement goes into effect in October 2015, our work is not done! As we have been going throughout work sites to hold the ratification vote it has been clear we have serious work ahead to take on important local issues. Concerns like staffing, workload, back fill and attendance are not covered at the National Bargaining table so we must take them on locally. In the coming weeks and months we'll be out in work sites talking with members, continuing and broadening our work for safe staffing and reasonable workload.

TAKE ACTION TO BUILD COMMUNITY: We will also be building on the community support from our contract campaign to deepen our relationships and to grow our ability to push for quality patient care and quality work life at Kaiser and beyond. This week we will be looking for your input to help build out community and political program . . . keep an eye out for an email on Wed July 29th with a quick poll about local issues and community connections.
