The over 1,700 frontline healthcare workers from PeaceHealth Southwest, PeaceHealth Sacred Heart and PeaceHealth St. John have reached a Tentative Agreement (TA) with management after months of contract negotiations and a five-day Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike. These healthcare workers, who are members of the Oregon Federation of Nurses and Health Professionals (OFNHP, AFT Local 5017), were fighting over issues like living wages and a voice on the job.

 On Saturday, October 28th, the 1,300 PeaceHealth workers who went on strike on Monday, October 23rd, returned to work. These workers had organized a five-day Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike to protest actions by management the union says were illegal and violated the union rights of their workers. After over 1,300 workers announced that they will walk out to strike this coming Monday, October 23rd, PeaceHealth decided to walk away from the bargaining table.
